Stopset is an offline-first iPhone app. It does not require an account and does not operate a server that receives your trip library. This policy explains the limited cases where Apple system services or a destination you choose may process information.

Information stored by Stopset

Trips, stops, itinerary items, notes, links, saved place details, and imported attachments are stored inside Stopset's local app container on your device. Stopset applies iOS file protection to its library and managed files. Access still depends on the security of your device, passcode, backups, and Apple account.

Apple Maps

When you search for a place, the search text and related request information are sent to Apple's MapKit services to return results. Map imagery is also supplied by Apple. Apple processes this information under its own privacy terms. Stopset does not receive or retain server logs from those requests.

Photos and documents

Stopset uses Apple's system photo and document pickers. You choose the specific photo or file made available to the app. Selected items are copied into Stopset's local storage so they can be used with your trip and, where supported, opened offline.

Backups and sharing

A Stopset backup is created only when you request one. It can contain your complete trip library and imported attachments. The iOS share sheet or document picker lets you choose where that backup goes. The privacy and security practices of the selected destination then apply. Stopset does not automatically upload backups.

What Stopset does not use

• No Stopset account or login.
• No advertising, tracking, or cross-app profiling.
• No analytics or third-party analytics SDK.
• No developer-operated backend or cloud sync.
• No sale of personal information.

Deleting your information

Delete individual content inside Stopset, or delete the app to remove its local app container from the device. Exported backups must be deleted separately from Files, iCloud Drive, email, or any other destination where you chose to save them.
